‘not india-pakistan, but india-terroristan’: jaishankar’s big message for the world from europe

Indian External Affairs Minister Dr S Jaishankar, during a press conference with the European Union’s chief diplomat Kaja Kallas, said that there is no conflict between India and Pakistan, asserting that India’s actions must be seen as a response to “threat and practice of terrorism.”

In a message of world, the Indian External Affairs Minister said the situation between New Delhi and Islamabad must not be viewed as conflict. On the question of “India-Pakistan conflict,” Jaishankar said, “This is not a conflict between two states. This is actually a response to the threat and practice of terrorism. I would urge you not to think of it as India-Pakistan, but think of it as India-Terroristan.”

“We strongly believe that there should be zero tolerance for terrorism in all its forms and manifestations. In that context, it is also essential that we never yield to nuclear blackmail. This is a shared and interconnected challenge for the global community, and it is imperative that there is strong international cooperation and understanding on the matter,” Jaishankar said during a joint press conference with Kaja Kallas.

Further, Kaja Kallas, the EU High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy, also noted that, “India has a right to protect its citizens under international law.”
