Early Morning Patrol Turns Tense . On Monday morning, security forces in Punjab’s Gurdaspur district caught a Pakistani national attempting to cross into Indian territory. BSF jawans, while on routine duty near the international border, intercepted the man near Thakarpur village.

Pakistani Border Crossing Sparks Immediate Action

Around 5 a.m., the Border Security Force noticed suspicious movement close to the fence. Troops on the ground moved in swiftly. They confronted and detained the individual before he could escape or cause any disruption.

The person identified himself as Husnain, a resident of a village in Pakistan. He carried valid Pakistani identification, which confirmed his nationality. However, he failed to present any documents authorizing entry into India.

BSF and Punjab Police Launch Joint Interrogation

After detaining Husnain, BSF handed him over to the Punjab Police for deeper questioning. A joint interrogation team from intelligence units, local police, and border agencies has begun verifying his intent and background.

Officials confirmed that Husnain carried no explosives, weapons, or communication devices. Even so, authorities remain cautious. They suspect the possibility of surveillance or reconnaissance missions disguised as civilian movement.

Pakistani Border Crossing Raises Fresh Security Concerns

This marks yet another Pakistani border crossing in recent months, which has elevated security alerts. The border between India and Pakistan in Punjab remains one of the most sensitive zones, often targeted for smuggling and infiltration attempts.

Due to recent terrorist attacks in Jammu and threats issued by extremist groups, security forces remain highly alert. Authorities have intensified night surveillance using drones, thermal imaging, and foot patrols in vulnerable border zones.

BSF Strengthens Border Protocols in Response

Following this incident, BSF increased the number of troops along the zero line near Gurdaspur. Commanders have ordered additional fencing patrols and coordination with local police.

BSF officials stated that despite advanced fencing and surveillance, human patrols remain crucial. They urged residents in border villages to stay vigilant and report any movement or suspicious behavior.
