All new Tata Sierra launched at 11.49 lakhs.
Tata launched its all new Sierra on 25th November with an extraordinary price of 11.49 lakhs ex-showroom. The bookings will begin from the 16th of December and the delivery is expected to start from 15th January 2026. Sierra is being positioned as a mid-size SUV below their flagship Harrier and Safari but above the base models of the lineup. The old Sierra was already the loved one in the segment during its age and to push up their position in today’s mid-size SUV market the all new Sierra has been launched.

If we talk about what the all new Sierra is offering, the major things which can be taken in the list is the 1.5 litre TGDi turbo – petrol engine which offers up to 160 hp and 255 nm of torque. There are of course other engine options like 1.5 litre naturally aspirated petrol engine which can produce 106hp and 145nm of torque and the other one is 1.5 litre diesel engine which produces 118hp and the torque varies between 260-280nm depending on the transmission.
The cabins and features are also quite attention grabbing as they launched the Smart+, which is the base trim of Sierra with multiple features. LED headlamps, DRLs, electric ORVMs are being offered. Along with that, dual-tone roof, flush-door handles, electric tailgate release are some major features.

The higher variants of Sierra bring the factor of luxury and tech for the buyers. Triple screen dashboard (driver display + central infotainment + passenger screen), panoramic sunroof, ventilated front seats, 360-degree camera, connected car tech, multiple terrain modes and good boot space are being offered in higher variants. Sierra comes with at least 6 airbags and Tata claims it has a strong safety structure.
The revived Sierra is being positioned as a value versus features mid-size SUV, with astonishingly aggressive starting price and features rich kit, which in turn gives it a strong value for money tag. It aims to challenge compact and mid-size SUVs in the market like Hyundai Creta, Kia Seltos, Maruti Grand Vitara and others in the โน10-20 lakhs segment.
It is obviously a strategic move by Tata Motors of reviving a beast with the legacy value along with modern features. This SUV targets to appeal to both nostalgia and contemporary SUV-hungry buyers.
