“Intelligence agencies have alerted that three Jaish-e-Mohammed terrorists have infiltrated Bihar through Nepal, prompting a high alert across the state.”

“According to the Bihar Police Headquarters, three suspected operatives of the Pakistan-based terrorist group Jaish-e-Mohammed have entered Bihar via the Nepal border.”

“On Thursday, the Bihar Police Headquarters declared a high alert across the state following intelligence inputs about the infiltration of terrorists linked to Pakistan. Senior officials stated that three suspected Jaish-e-Mohammed operatives entered Bihar via the Nepal border.”

“The Bihar Police identified the suspects as Hasnain Ali from Rawalpindi, Adil Hussain from Umerkot, and Mohammad Usman from Bahawalpur.”

“According to intelligence inputs, the suspects arrived in Kathmandu during the second week of August and crossed into Bihar last week. The headquarters has circulated their passport details to police units in the border areas.”

“Senior officials have instructed security agencies to intensify surveillance and gather intelligence. They also told district intelligence teams to take prompt action if they detect any suspicious activity.”

“In preparation for Operation Sindoor and the upcoming Assembly elections later this year, Bihar authorities boosted security along the Indo-Nepal border and in Seemanchal districts starting in May. They increased patrolling in border areas, including Madhubani, Sitamarhi, Supaul, Araria, and East and West Champaran districts.”

“Bihar shares an open 729-kilometre border with Nepal, which has long been a hotspot for infiltration and cross-border movement. Seven districts in the state directly border this vulnerable frontier, creating significant challenges for ongoing surveillance and security enforcement.”
