Delhi , india – The Delhi Police are set to approach the court. They intend to declare Virendra Basoiya, a Dubai-based alleged drug kingpin, a proclaimed offender. This move follows the issuance of a non-bailable warrant (NBW) against Basoiya by the Patiala House Court in Delhi.

Summary of what all happened

On October 1, 562 kg of cocaine was seized in Mahipalpur, South Delhi. Then, on October 10, 208 kg of cocaine was recovered from a shop in Ramesh Nagar, West Delhi. The third seizure occurred on October 13. Special Cell sleuths and the Gujarat Police recovered 518 kg of cocaine. It was worth Rs 5,000 crore in the international market. This occurred during a raid at a firm called Aavkar Drugs in Gujaratโ€™s Ankleshwar.

Investigation and Non-Bailable Warrant

The police have been actively investigating Basoiya’s alleged involvement in drug trafficking operations. The court issued the NBW after he failed to appear despite multiple summons.

Seeking Further Action

The police are now seeking to escalate the case. They plan to declare Basoiya a proclaimed offender. This legal status would empower them to take further action, including attaching his assets and properties.
