Delhi CM Rekha Gupta Inaugurates Free Mega Health Checkup Camp in Haiderpur

New Delhi: Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta on Wednesday inaugurated a free mega health checkup camp at the Ayurvedic Hospital in Haiderpur under the ‘Seva Sankalp Abhiyan’.

The camp is providing various health screenings, expert doctor consultations and health guidance to local residents.

Speaking on the occasion, the CM announced several development projects for Haiderpur:

– A new school up to Class 12 to be built on about 5,000 sq yards of land

– Construction of a community hall and a Chhath Ghat in the area

– Development of a ‘Nirog Dham’ where both Ayurvedic and Allopathic health facilities will be available

On the issue of slum rehabilitation, the CM said that the tender process for housing construction for slums in AU Block and AO Block of Haiderpur has started in the first phase. In the second phase, slums near the Ayurvedic Hospital area will be included.

Reassuring slum dwellers, CM Gupta said that not a single slum in the area will be demolished. “The objective of the Delhi government is not to remove anyone, but to improve people’s lives,” she said.

She added that her government’s effort is to bring health services closer to the citizens, not just limit them to hospitals, so that people get timely checkups and proper treatment. “Healthy citizens are the foundation of a strong Delhi,” she said.
