Gold Smuggling Bust: ATS & DRI Seize 100cr worth in raid

Gujrat’s Anti Terrorist Squad (ATS) in a joint association with Directorate of Revenue Intelligence (DRI) cracks down a large scale smuggling worth 100 crores!
87.9kg of gold bars , 19.6kg gold jewelry , 11 high end watches worth crores & 1.37 crores cash was founded from the apartment.
Asset volumes went so high that tally machines had to be used to collect the final cash. Preliminary investigations suggest that approximately 57kg of seized gold had been smuggled overseas.
Megh Shah , a resident apartment on main focus as the raid took place. Mahendra Shah, Father, also on the radar as he’s recognised as a stock market investor in Dubai having strong business ties.
Sunil Joshi , deputy inspector general of police (DTS) claims that the raid took place on specific intelligence received by DSP.
Megh Shah’s keys have been retrieved from her for further effective investigation to take place The case has been transferred to DRI to determine the origin of cash, gold & watches to explore the potential connection to international smuggling network.
