Two years ago on July 18, Japan was engulfed in shocking news. The news broke that Haruma Miura, a popular Japanese actor, had committed suicide. He was only 30 years old and his career was going well, but what had happened to him? Many people, including his fans, were shocked and saddened.
However, the inexplicable continued to happen after that. Many people saw the breaking news before the time of his death, and there were several premature tweets from his friends and relations. Then the news and tweets were erased from the web or the time was rewritten. In magazines, the contents of a suicide note that never existed were written, and the impression that he committed suicide was manipulated. However, his office did not offer a satisfactory explanation, and a farewell party was not held because of covid-19.
Many of his fans have yet to come out of their grief. And they are still angry, too. There is so much to suggest that his death was not a suicide; despite two years of digital and street campaigns by his fans, there has been no re-investigation.
