A quick guide to Sadhguru's Save Soil initiative
Sadhguru may be best known as a spiritual speaker, he has launched multiple environment related initiatives. Some of them include Rally for Rivers and Conscious Planet. Now, he has come up with a movement called Save Soil. So, what is it about? Sadhguru will leave from his Isha Foundation campus in Coimbatore and go on a 100-day solo motorcycle trip of about 3,000 kilometres. He will participate in engagements with leaders from around the world [approximately 27 countries] and urge them to take steps that help prevent soil extinction. During a statement, the spiritual speaker and guru informed that 60 years of soil are left on Earth and one third of that is already gone. This new initiative will raise global awareness towards the pressing issue, so that action can be taken. He will also encourage volunteers called โEarth Buddies to participate in on ground or online events and express their concerns about soil. He recently addressed the issue during a virtual session at the United Nations Environment Assembly [UNEA] as part of the โFaith Earth Dialogueโ. Sadhguru also met with Antigua and Barbuda Prime Minister Gaston Browne to sign a MOU agreement. The official motorcycle trip is scheduled to start from March 21. So far, talk show host Trevor Noah, actress Kangana Ranaut and cricketers Vivian Richards and Ian Botham have extended their support for the movement.
