Big Update on Delhi Lakshmi Yojana: CM Rekha Gupta Says Approval Letters From Tomorrow, Rs 2,500 From Sept 1

New Delhi: Good news for women applying for the ‘Delhi Lakshmi Yojana’! CM Rekha Gupta has announced that eligible women will not have to wait long for the first installment.

Approval letters will start being issued from tomorrow, August 26. From September 1, Rs 2,500 will be directly credited to their bank accounts every month.

CM Gupta posted on X today:“August 26 will bring new hope, new confidence and new power to lakhs of women in Delhi. Under Delhi Lakshmi Yojana, eligible women will get approval letters and from September 1, Rs 2,500 will reach their bank accounts every month. The unprecedented enthusiasm for the scheme says it all. Lakhs of women have already registered and registration is still open.”

Monthly financial assistance of Rs 2,500 to women aged 21-60 years,Delhi govt has allocated a budget of Rs 5,100 crore.

Launched by Delhi Cabinet on August 1 under CM Rekha Gupta One of BJP’s key promises during Delhi Assembly elections.

Expected to benefit around 17 lakh women, to be implemented for 3 years.

Who is Eligible?

• Women aged 21-60 years
• Family annual income up to Rs 2.50 lakh
• Must be a registered voter in Delhi and resident for at least 10 years (applicant or her parents/husband)
• Only the eldest eligible woman in a family can apply

Who is NOT Eligible?

• Women already getting any other financial assistance or pension
• Taxpayers, government employees
• Women with more than 3 children
• Families with annual electricity consumption above 2,400 units
• Families where any member has a government job, criminal case, or owns a four-wheeler

Registrations will continue till all eligible women are covered.
