Kunal Ghosh in Saffron! Has the TMC MLA Switched Sides?

Wearing a grand saffron scarf, TMC MLA Kunal Ghosh was seen walking casually through the West Bengal Assembly corridors. The sight immediately sparked speculation: Had the Trinamool Congress leader joined the BJP?
The confusion, however, lasted only a few minutes.
A delegation from the Rashtriya Go Raksha Bahini had come to meet the Assembly Speaker. They happened to meet Kunal Ghosh in the corridor and, showing their respect, put a saffron scarf around him.
Kunal accepted it with a smile and continued walking around the Assembly premises. The unusual sight quickly led to rumours of a possible party switch, but the reality was far less dramatic.
Kunal Ghosh was also seen attending Independence Day programmes organised by two different TMC camps. In the morning, following Mamata Banerjee’s instructions, he hoisted the national flag at the old TMC office in Topsia, where leaders and workers from the Kalighat camp were present.
Later, he went to Metropolitan, where a programme led by Ritabrata Banerjee was being held. Kunal hoisted the national flag, paid tribute at the martyrs’ memorial and briefly addressed the gathering.
So, despite the saffron scarf creating fresh political buzz, Kunal Ghosh remains with the TMC — Kunal is simply being Kunal.
