Independence Day 2026: If you are planning to visit the Red Fort in Delhi on 15th August 2026, this is a must-read for you. Ahead of the Independence Day celebrations, Delhi Police has released the list of items that are strictly prohibited inside the Red Fort premises.
What Items Are NOT Allowed?
For public convenience, Delhi Police has issued a notification detailing what visitors should NOT carry to the Red Fort on 15th August.
The banned items include: cameras, binoculars, hammers, drills, saws, swords, daggers, screwdrivers, mobile chargers, earphones, power banks, batteries, and other similar objects.
If you arrive at the Red Fort with any of these prohibited items, you will face inconvenience. Entry will NOT be permitted and you will be asked to return.
Tight Security Arrangements in Delhi
The national capital is under high alert for 15th August. Delhi Police along with central agencies are maintaining strict surveillance across the city.
Multi-layered security arrangements have also been put in place in and around the Red Fort to ensure a safe and smooth Independence Day event.
