USA Plans Major Boost in Weapons Production Amid Trump–Defence Talks

US President Donald Trump has announced plans to significantly increase the production of advanced weaponry following a meeting with the chief executives of some of the country’s largest defence manufacturers.

In a post on social media after the meeting, Trump said the companies had agreed to quadruple the production of “exquisite-class” weapons, referring to highly sophisticated and precision military systems used in modern warfare.

The president also stated that the United States currently holds a substantial stockpile of medium- and upper-medium-grade munitions, which he said have already been used in military operations in Iran and Venezuela.

The meeting was attended by the CEOs of major defence companies, including BAE Systems, Boeing, Honeywell Aerospace, L3Harris Technologies, Lockheed Martin, Northrop Grumman, and Raytheon Technologies.

According to officials, discussions focused on expanding manufacturing capacity and strengthening the United States’ defence production capabilities.

Trump said the meeting concluded with an agreement to hold another round of talks in two months to review progress on the proposed expansion. He also noted that several US states are competing to host new defence manufacturing facilities.

The discussions come as the United States continues its military campaign, Operation Epic Fury, in West Asia, which has led to a growing demand for advanced military equipment and munitions.
