Phillippines offers visa free entry to Indian Tourists

Philippines will now allow Indian tourists visa-free entry, while India will offer free e-visas to Filipino travelers.

Indian citizens can now visit Phillipines for up to 14 days, but strictly for tourism purposes.

This step was taken to boost the tourism and for building better connections, thus Phillipines has allowed Indian citizens to visit the country without visa. In exchange for this, India has decided to bring about free E-visa facilities for tourists from Phillipines. India also plans to launch more direct flights between Delhi and Manila later this year. These announcements were made after the bilateral talks between the Prime Minister of India Narendra Modi and Philippine President Ferdinand R Marcos Jr. during the his visit to New Delhi on 5th August, 2025.

The Embassy of the Philippines in New Delhi has announced that there are two categories of short-term visa-free entry available for Indian citizens.

Visa-free entry for 14 days

Indian citizens can now visit Phillipines for up to 14 days without a visa but strictly for tourism purposes. This entry is non-extendable and cannot be converted into any other visa type. Eligibilty criteria requires having a passport which is valid for at leasts six months beyond the intended stay. Proof of accommodation along with confirmed return ticket and evidence of sufficient financial funds is also required.

Visa-Free Entry for 30 days

Indians holding permanent residency or valid visas in the following countries — Australia, Japan, America, Canada, Schengen nations, Singapore, or the United Kingdom will be eligible to get the visa-free stay for 30 days. Same documentation needed here as the 14-day entry.

These decisions were made so that Indian citizens are encouraged to travel the Phillipines given the rise in demand for regional travelling.
