PM Modi in Bikaner: ‘Sindoor Turned into Barood’ as India Strikes Back

In a forceful address delivered in Bikaner’s Deshnok region, Prime Minister Narendra Modi sent a strong message to both the domestic audience and India’s adversaries. Speaking days after Operation Sindoor was launched in retaliation to the Pahalgam terror attack, the Prime Minister declared that the “sindoor” of Indian daughters had been turned into “barood” (gunpowder), and that those who dared to spill innocent blood have now been reduced to dust.

The Prime Minister’s remarks came amid growing national sentiment following the April 22 attack in Pahalgam, where several civilians, including women and children, were killed in what is widely believed to have been a Pakistan-sponsored terror strike. Operation Sindoor, conducted on May 7, was India’s official military response.
