He belonged to a family with a deep military background; he was one of five children, and the eldest of the family. His father, Daya Ram Sharma, is a farmer, while his mother is a homemaker. Dinesh had married Seema, a lawyer by profession, and the family had two infant children. The nation’s duty motivated his young brothers, Kapil and Hardatt, and both of them enlisted in the Indian Army as part of the Agnipath scheme.
Military Career
Dinesh Kumar was enrolled in the Indian Army in 2014, marking his dream to serve his country. He was recruited into the 5 Field Regiment, which is famous for its artillery. Through his years of service, his passion and exceptional service earned him a promotion to Lance Naik. He was posted in the Poonch district of Jammu and Kashmir recently, an area regularly exposed to cross-border skirmishes.
