Meerut Woman’s Parents Demand Death Penalty in Navy Officer Murder Case

Meerut, Uttar Pradesh, March 20, 2025 – A gruesome murder case in Meerut has left the city in shock. The parents of the accused woman have demanded the death penalty for their own daughter. Muskaan Rastogi’s parents, Pramod and Kavita Rastogi, expressed their grief and anger over the crime. They described their daughter as unfit for society and demanded the harshest punishment for her. Muskaan and her lover, Sahil Shukla, allegedly killed her husband, Saurabh Shukla, in cold blood.

Pramod Rastogi said, “My daughter has committed an unforgivable crime. She does not deserve to live after what she has done.” Kavita Rastogi added that Saurabh was a kind and loving man who did not deserve such a fate. The police uncovered disturbing details about the murder. Saurabh Shukla worked as a merchant navy officer in London since 2023. He returned to Meerut on March 4 to visit his wife, Muskaan. Shortly after his return, he went missing under mysterious circumstances.

Investigators revealed that Muskaan and Sahil plotted Saurabh’s murder together. They allegedly stabbed him to death on March 4 at their residence in Indiranagar, Meerut. After killing him, they dismembered his body and stored it in a drum filled with cement to conceal the crime. The police recovered the drum from their house during the investigation.

Meerut City SP Ayush Vikram Singh led the investigation into the case. The police interrogated Muskaan and Sahil after receiving leads about their involvement. During questioning, Sahil confessed to the crime and admitted that he helped Muskaan kill her husband.
