Devotees Celebrate Kali Jayanti and Janmashtami in Delhi

New Delhi: Janmashtami is being celebrated with devotion and fervour across Delhi today.

The famous Kalkaji Temple has been decorated specially. Mata Kalka has been adorned with colourful flowers and peacock feathers, attracting large crowds since morning.

Devotees are flocking to have darshan of Mata Kalka and to swing Lord Krishna’s child form – Laddu Gopal.

Chief Priest Vishal Bhardwaj said special shringaar has been done as today is also Kali Jayanti. Special puja will be held at night.

Devotees said swinging Laddu Gopal brings peace and joy. Grand celebrations will be held at midnight to mark Lord Krishna’s birth.
