Amit Shah in Bengal: Three-Day Visit Focuses on Border Security and BJP Organisation

Union Home Minister Amit Shah has arrived in West Bengal for a three-day visit, with border security and BJP organisational matters expected to be among the key focus areas of his trip.
Amit Shah reached Bagdogra Airport on Thursday night. He was welcomed in the state during his arrival before beginning his scheduled programme in North Bengal.
On Friday, Shah is expected to attend an important meeting in Siliguri related to border security. Several major projects connected with the Border Security Force (BSF) are also expected to be launched or inaugurated during his visit. Senior BSF officials are likely to be present at the programme.
The meeting is expected to focus on important issues related to security along the state’s international borders. West Bengal shares borders with several neighbouring countries, making border management an important issue for the central and state authorities.
Apart from his official programmes, Amit Shah is also scheduled to take part in several BJP organisational meetings during his stay in Bengal. These meetings are expected to continue today and tomorrow.
During the organisational meetings, party leaders and senior BJP functionaries are likely to discuss the party’s organisational activities and future strategy in the state. The visit is therefore expected to be important not only from a security perspective but also for the BJP’s internal preparations in West Bengal.
With a packed three-day schedule, Amit Shah’s visit is expected to bring attention to both border security and the BJP’s organisational activities across the state.
