Rain and Thunderstorm Warning for South Bengal as Weather Pattern Changes
A fresh bout of rain is expected to start on Sunday in a number of South Bengal districts, according to the Alipore Meteorological Department. According to the weather service, certain areas will first experience light rainfall, with an increase in severity anticipated beginning on Monday.
Light Rain Likely in Some Districts From Sunday
The meteorological office said that starting on Sunday, districts including East Midnapore, West Midnapore, and Jhargram can experience light rain. Because of the cloudy sky and changing wind patterns, brief showers are expected in these places. Additionally, meteorologists report that South Bengal’s weather pattern is gradually changing, which may lead to rain in the next days.
Rain to Increase Across South Bengal on Monday and Tuesday
All of South Bengal’s districts are expected to have more rain on Monday and Tuesday. Strong winds and light to moderate showers could happen in several places. The government issued a yellow advisory for areas like Birbhum, Murshidabad, and Nadia on Monday to caution locals to possible rainfall and weather disturbances.
Strong Winds and Thunderstorm Possibility
In addition to rain, certain districts may see severe winds of up to 30 to 40 km/h. At this time, thunderstorms might potentially happen. Yellow alerts were issued on Tuesday for areas like as West Midnapore, Jhargram, Purulia, and Bankura where high winds and precipitation could disrupt daily activities.
Rainfall Likely to Reduce From Wednesday
According to the projection, South Bengal will get less strong rains beginning on Wednesday. Light rain may still fall in districts including Nadia, Murshidabad, East Midnapore, and North and South 24 Parganas, though it might not affect all areas.
Temperature to Remain Near Normal
Despite the showers, temperatures in the area are expected to be close to normal seasonal levels. The intermittent showers may offer some relief from Bengal’s typical springtime heat, according to meteorologists.
Overall, residents of South Bengal should prepare for a few days of cloudy skies, scattered showers, and gusty winds before the weather gradually stabilizes later in the week.
