CBSE Class 10 Maths Paper Analysis 2026: What Teachers Said About Today’s Exam

The CBSE Class 10 Mathematics board exam was held today in a single shift. Students appeared for the paper in two categories, Maths Standard and Maths Basic. After the exam ended, teachers and students shared their reactions about the overall pattern and the difficulty level of the question paper.

According to teachers, the Maths Standard paper was mostly balanced and fair. Most questions were based on the NCERT syllabus, and students who studied well and practiced sample papers were able to attempt it confidently. Teachers also said that the paper tested understanding of concepts, not just memorisation. Some questions required extra thinking, especially the ones based on real-life situations and case studies.

For the Maths Basic paper, many students felt it was moderate but lengthy. While the level was not extremely hard, some questions took more time because they needed careful calculations. Students said that time management was important, as completing the full paper within the given time was a challenge for some.

Overall, teachers felt the Maths exam was not out of syllabus and was designed in a way that rewarded students who practiced regularly. The paper included a mix of easy, moderate, and a few tricky questions. Most students found the paper manageable, but those who were not confident in concepts found it slightly difficult.
