Singur to Delhi: Mamata Banerjee to move Election Commission over SIR controversy

West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee has given a strong message from the land of Singur. The rally was against the Centre as well as indicating a Delhi-oriented programme. A number of key issues emerged from the meeting. West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee speaks at a rally in Anandpur Sahib. Speaking at the Singur meeting, he said that the TMC has complained to the Supreme Court that only 1 lakh hearings have been held so far, while the number of hearings is 9 lakh. Various instructions have been issued in this regard.

What Mamata announced at Singur rally

West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee laid the foundation stone of projects worth Rs 9,000 crore in Singur. He inaugurated 1076 projects of 28 departments. Apart from this, the most controversial one is: the Banglar Bari project, which will provide financial assistance to two million (20 lakh) consumers through this project from the meeting hall of Singur. Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee has repeatedly accused the central government of financial deprivation over this Bengal house project. Along with this, the foundation stone of the much-awaited Ghatal Master Plan, which has been started since 2025, has been laid at a cost of Rs 1500 crore.
Many schemes have been started for the farmers. For example, he inaugurated 50 Sufal Banglar Bhambhavan stalls, extended financial assistance of Rs. 80 crore to the farmers under the Bengal Crop Insurance Scheme, distributed 29,000 modern farm machinery to the farmers across the state, and also inaugurated 603 Farm Machinery Hubs at Singur. Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee handed over land pattas to 4,760 people in 22 districts of the state. In addition, a World Bank-funded project: Unnoto Susatyo will be launched across the state at the state health department. All these projects were launched through remote control.
