Sebaashray II: Abhishek’s Big Step Towards a Huge Goal; Mega Health Program Starts in Bengal Today 

Sebaashray II: Second Phase Initiative.  Health services are now integrated with public relations work. The 2026 general elections are soon coming up. The programme of the re-launch of the “Sebaashray 2” is being introduced in order to access the health services to the people of the Diamond Harbour Lok 20 constituency. The programme will start on Monday, December 1. The second phase preparations have already been done after the success of the initial phase, which began in January. This is an initiative that is arranged by Abhishek Banerjee, the Member of parliament of Diamond Harbour and All India General secretary of the Trinamool Congress.

Program Details

• The Sebaashray camps will be held in the seven assembly areas under the Diamond Harbour Lok Sabha constituency: Diamond Harbour, Bishnupur, Satgachhia, Matiabruz, Budge Budge, Maheshtala, and Falta.
• Advance registration is required to participate in the camps.
• The health service will provide free medical consultations and medicine distribution.
• If a patient needs hospital admission, the expenses will be borne.
• In the first phase, free heart surgeries were performed on two children.
• The camps are linked with private and government hospitals to ensure easy access to special treatment.
• Specialist doctors, nurses, health workers, and Trinamool workers were present to help patients reach the right doctor.
• A key feature of the camps was the quality and organized health service.
• Eye specialists at the camp provide free eye exams and spectacles if needed.
• If a patient is diagnosed with cataracts, they are sent to private health centers for free operations.
• The second phase of Sebaashray will run from December 1 to January 30.

Abhishek Banerjee’s Statement: Abhishek Banerjee previously wrote on X, “Sebaashray was created with the goal of ensuring affordable and quality health services for all.”  He started this initiative last year out of a sense of humanity and responsibility for social service, and many people from all over Bengal, not just Diamond Harbour, have benefited from it.  It is worth noting that while there are multiple TMC MPs in the state, this Sebaashray program is held exclusively in Diamond Harbour.
