Woman Lawyer Arrested for Staging Fake Kidnapping in Gujarat

Police in Rajkot arrested 43-year-old Rima Makahani after uncovering a plot to kidnap herself and her six-year-old niece. They moved across Gujarat and Rajasthan, faking distress until the ruse collapsed and authorities intervened.

Rajveersinh Zala reportedly orchestrated the plan and threatened Riyaz via calls and messages. When police pursued him in Ujjain, he attempted suicide by consuming poison but survived. He now faces arrest when released from medical custody. This scheme reflects a clear abuse of legal privilege, used to manipulate family members.
