Saiyaara Soars to New Heights: Breaks Records and Conquers the Box Office

The Mohit Suri directorial movie ‘Saiyaara’ is sweeping the country and the box office by breaking and registering new records every day. The romantic drama dominated the weekdays after making an incredible debut at the weekend. According to a report by Sacnilk, the film is showing no signs of slowing down at the Bollywood box office.

As of the latest report by Sacnilk, the Ahaan Pandey and Aneet Padda starrer has already earned ₹25.50 crore on its debut Tuesday. Many critics and movie reviewers consider this an amazing feat, as it has already made some huge collections on its second day, more than on the first day.

‘Saiyaara’ also set a new record of ₹21.5 as its opening gross, and then it went out to make an incredible profitable weekend by bringing in ₹35.75 crore on Sunday. At the end, the Mohit Suri directorial has already collected a total of ₹132.25 crores. Within a few days of its release, it already outshone and eliminated some huge names from the list, such as Salman Khan’s Sikandar, which collected ₹110.25 crore, Ranveer Singh’s Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahaani at ₹153.55 crore and Akshay Kumar’s Sky Force at ₹112.75 crore.

It also went into head-to-head and surpassed some huge names on its first Tuesday, such as Shah Rukh Khan’s Pathaan, Yash’s KGF 2(Hindi) and Aamir Khan’s Dangal.

About the Movie

The movie is directed by the ‘Aashiqui 2’ and ‘Ek Villain’ director Mohit Suri, and it stars Ahaan Panday and Aneet Padda in lead roles. The plot is about the love story between a young rising musician Krish Kapoor(played by Ahaan Panday) and a shy nerdy journalist Vaani(played by Aneet Padda), and the various challenges they face in their everyday life. The film’s titular song, sung by Faheem Abdullah, received a lot of praise and is even featured in Spotify’s Top 50 chart after the film’s release.

Many huge names from Bollywood have come forward on social media and praised the cast and the members of the movie ‘Saiyaara’. From Varun Dhawan to Ranveer Singh and from Alia Bhatt to Shraddha Kapoor, everyone critically praised the film.

The veteran Bollywood film director Subhash Ghai also praised the film and stated that “When a new star-cast film creates a wave at the box office, it sends us a clear message to investors and producers not to make an overbudget film more than a good story needs—not to invest in main actors more than your production cost—no money spent on stars’ whims—no extra spend on marketing stunts.”
