SriLankan Airlines Flight Searched in Colombo Over Suspected Pahalgam Terror Links

In a swift security response, a SriLankan Airlines flight from Chennai was thoroughly inspected at Colomboโs Bandaranaike International Airport following an alert from Indian intelligence agencies. Authorities believed that six individuals suspected of involvement in the recent terror attack in Pahalgam, Jammu and Kashmir, might be on board the aircraft.
The flight, UL122, landed just before noon and was immediately isolated for inspection. All passengers were deboarded while the aircraft was searched by airport security and intelligence officials. SriLankan Airlines confirmed the operation, stating that the search was initiated based on specific security information received from Indian counterparts.
This development follows the tragic Pahalgam attack in which 26 civilians were killed. The incident has triggered nationwide outrage and a heightened counter-terror response. International cooperation is now playing a crucial role in the investigation and pursuit of suspects.
As of now, officials have not released details about whether any suspects were found on the flight. The investigation is ongoing, with Indian and Sri Lankan authorities continuing to collaborate closely to track down those responsible.
