Khalistani Controversy Rocks Govt Institute: Questions Raised Over Campus Security and Ideological Infiltration
Sant Longowal Institute of Engineering and Technology, a top-tier institute under the Government of India, found itself embroiled in a controversy when Khalistani imagery and fanatics were celebrated during the annual cultural fest held on October 13th and 14th.
The contentious issue emerged as Khalistani fanatics and their symbols were prominently displayed on the backdrop during a performance at the prestigious institute’s cultural fest. This event was met with strong opposition from students who had come to the institution from various parts of the country to pursue their studies.
In response to the incident, the institute’s authorities issued a warning to the students not to share or disseminate any visuals of the controversial performance. They urged students to exercise caution and refrain from posting the materials on social media or any other public platforms.
Sources close to the situation revealed that a group of individuals, described as “miscreants,” who were not affiliated with the institution, infiltrated the college premises during the event. These outsiders allegedly aimed to motivate and encourage students to engage in separatist activities. According to sources, these external agitators assured students that they were immune from any legal consequences and that nobody could take action against them.
Frighteningly, students reportedly received threats to remain silent about the incident. The source of these threats is currently under investigation, as authorities work to ensure the safety and well-being of the students.
The institute’s Director, Mani Kant Paswan, has taken the matter seriously and met with the event organizers to understand how the Khalistani imagery made its way onto the display and how such a performance was allowed to take place within the institution.
The incident has stirred debate and concerns within the academic community and the government, as they seek to address the security and ideological implications of allowing divisive and potentially dangerous ideologies to be showcased within the confines of a prestigious academic institution. The investigation into the incident is ongoing, and measures are being taken to prevent similar occurrences in the future.
