The Kerala Story trailer inflames political row over ‘ISIS brides’
The Kerala Story’s trailer incited a political uproar in the southern state, with the Left and Congress branding it as propaganda and the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) praising it as an artistic achievement. The movie, which was directed by Sudipto Sen, is claimed to be on the Kerala-based “ISIS brides.” According to the movie’s trailer, 32,000 females from Kerala went missing before joining the dangerous extremist organisation known as ISIS, the Islamic State of Iraq and Syria. Release day for The Kerala Story is May 5.
