Al-Qaeda warns of’many strikes’ on India in response to murder of Atiq Ahmed

Al-Qaeda has threatened to launch many strikes on India in response to the murder of gangster-turned-politician Atiq Ahmed while he was in the custody of the Uttar Pradesh Police. Al-Qaeda in the Indian Subcontinent (AQIS) referred to Atiq and his brother Ashraf as “martyrs” and pledged retaliation in its Eid message on Friday.
