Kannataka election regulator says no restrictions on screening of Sudeep’s commercials

Sudeep, a Kannada actor, is running for the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) in the upcoming Karnataka Assembly elections, and the Election Commission of India (ECI) said that there will be no restrictions on the screening of commercials starring Sudeep. The ECI added that only performers who are running for office or campaigning on the publicly financed television network Doordarshan may be prohibited from attending commercial screenings.

Sudeep has made it clear that he is just supporting CM Bommai and not the BJP. The actor had stated that he was standing in favour of the CM and others because he has a personal connection to Bommai.
