CJP Announces Protest March in Delhi on Sept 5: Route from India Gate to Police HQ Declared

New Delhi: The Cockroach Janata Party (CJP) has announced a peaceful protest march in Delhi on September 5 against the government’s failure to fulfil promises allegedly made to youth on July 25.
The decision was taken in a working committee meeting. According to the party, the march will start from India Gate and proceed to the New Delhi Police Headquarters.
CJP has appealed to youth, students, student organisations and youth groups across the country to reach India Gate and join the march. Families of students who lost their lives in NEET-related cases, people affected by police action, students and youth organisations from across India will participate.
In the meeting, the status of assurances given by the Centre and BJP-NDA ruled states on July 25 was reviewed. CJP demanded that promises made to youth should not remain mere announcements but be fully implemented. The party said the government must honour the trust of the youth.
Supreme Court Hearing on FIRs
The organisation also referred to the Supreme Court hearing on August 18. According to CJP, the apex court had asked the Centre to provide a list of FIRs registered across the country so they could be considered together. CJP alleged that the Centre has not shown clear commitment on the issue.
Questions to Education Ministers on Government Schools
On the poor condition of government schools, CJP founder and convener Abhijeet Dipke has written to education ministers of all states seeking public disclosure on the status of schools. In the letter, he said even after 80 years of Independence, many government schools lack clean drinking water, functional toilets, proper classrooms and benches.
CJP said photos and videos of dilapidated government schools are surfacing on social media, making it difficult for children to get education. Dipke asked how many government schools have been renovated in the last five years and how many need repair or complete reconstruction.
The letter also sought data on:
- Number of sanctioned teaching posts, filled posts and vacancies
- Budget allocated to government schools in the last five years and actual expenditure
- How many more government schools are needed to provide quality education to every child
- Details of non-academic duties assigned to teachers
- Schools with adequate computers, digital learning facilities, functional toilets and sports facilities
Dipke said the issue is not about any political party but about the future of children. Every child should get a safe classroom, clean drinking water, functional toilet, bench and a teacher, regardless of where they are born or their family’s economic status, he said.
