Big B treats fans to unseen wedding photos on 52nd anniversary

      The legendary actor Amitabh Bachchan marked his 52nd marriage anniversary with wife Jaya Bachchan by sharing a heartfelt blog post on Tuesday, 3rd June.

       The Don actor treated fans with unseen marriage photos that quickly went viral. One picture showed Big B wearing a white kurta and Jaya Bachchan wearing a red saree, the duo performing a marriage ritual and the other two pictures were photographed after the wedding. Alongside the picture Big B wrote, “ To all that wish Jaya and me for the wedding anniversary June 3, 1973, my gratitude and love.”  The post sparked nostalgia with people digging out on film clips and old interviews. Celebrities and fans sent waves of loving wishes in the comment section. Big B took to social media to thank everybody for their wishes. He also added a quote by his father, Harivansh Rai Bachchan, “ Anwarat samay ki chakki chalti jaati hain .”

      Very little can match Amitabh and Jaya’s tale of love. Amitabh Bachchan and Jaya Bachchan one of Bollywood’s greatest couples have acted together in several hits like Sholay, Zanjeer, Abhimaan, Chupke Chupke, Mili and Silsila. Their chemistry on screen was as potent as their friendship in private, and they remained among the best loved of Bollywood pairs through the ’70s and ’80s. Jaya, a National Film Award winner, withdrew from acting to focus on family while Amitabh ascended to superstardom as the “Shahenshah” of Bollywood.       The 81 year old actor who wrote about aging and the significance of family from his time locked down in northern California in his blog added, “These moments are reminders of the journey we’ve taken together has been full of challenges, laughter and memories that continue to bind us.” The Bachchans celebrated in an intimate setting with close family members including Abhishekh Bachchan, daughter-in-law, Aishwarya Rai and grand- daughter,  Aradhya.
