Hayao Miyazaki said that AI is an insult to life itself. The reason for that is no matter how an algorithm is trained, it will always be soulless. An artist, even if not perfect, will always put a bit of themselves in their art. This gives it a human touch. What is the point of art if there is nothing human in it? What is its value? And by value I don’t mean monetary, but on a societal and cultural scale? The answer is simple, absolutely nothing.
