Jagadish Shettar: BL Santhosh is the reason I left the BJP

Prior to the crucial Assembly elections, the former chief minister of Karnataka, Jagadish Shettar, defected from the BJP and joined the Congress. He said that BJP general secretary BL Santhosh was to blame for his decision.

BL Santhosh, according to the 67-year-old Lingayat leader, plotted against him and humiliated him by denying him a ticket to run in the election.

It should be noted that the six-time MLA, former Speaker, Leader of the Opposition in the Assembly, and party president decided to leave the BJP after being refused a ticket to run from the Hubli-Dharwad (Central) district, which he represented in the previous Lower House.

In the Hubli-Dharwad Central Assembly district, which was previously represented by Jagadish Shettar, Mahesh Tenginkai will run for office. A new candidate, Srivatsa, was handed the ticket in the Krishnaraja Assembly segment in the Mysuru district after the party dropped four-term MLA S A Ramadas.
