In conversation with Harsh Katara: Exclusive talk with the Pavitra Rishta fame

Harsh Katara is an actor in the Indian film industry. He started off his career with Ad Films and then went on to act in TV serials like Jai Shree Krishna and Pavitra Rishta. He is known for his roles as a child actor in the very famous Tv serial Pavitra Rishta which had stars like Sushant Singh Rajput and Ankita Lokhande.

Harsh answered many of our questions in this interview. Here is what our questions were and what he had to say to answer them.

Q1. How did you start your career?

Harsh’s answer: I Started My Career With Advertisements Then It Continued With Serials Like Jai Shri Krishna And Pavitra Rishta

Q2. What are your ways to get into the character?

Harsh’s answer: In my perspective I start Adapting Or Imagining About The Character Or I Behave In That Way So That It Helps Me To Perform  Better On Screen.

Q3. What is your goal? What is your vision?

Harsh’s answers: My Goal Is To Have A Vast Knowledge About Anything Or I Can Say To Be Well Educated And Secondly As An Actor To Entertain My Fans.

Q4. How important is fitness in the field of acting?

Harsh’s answer: Fitness Matters Not Only In Acting But Everywhere Because It Helps You To Stay Healthy And Makes You Look Good As Well.

Q5. What would you choose OTT or the Theatre?

Harsh’s answer: I Would Choose Both But When It Comes To Choosing  One Of Them Then I’ll Go For OTT Because Post Covid The Coverage Of OTT Has Increased Massively And It Is A Big Platform For Anyone In This Industry.

Q6. What are your views on Casting couch?

Harsh’s answer: I Haven’t Faced This Type Of Situation.

Q7. Have you experienced Nepotism or any other kind of discrimination?

Harsh’s answer: I haven’t experienced any such conditions. Neither Nepotism nor any discrimination.

He also answered questions about the death of his Pavitra Rishta co-star Sushant Singh Rajput.

Q on Sushant: How was Sushant’s life different from other actors?

Harsh’s answer: His life was different because he was unique from other people and had a vast knowledge on various things.

Q on Sushant: Why do you think Sushant’s death was mysterious?

Harsh’s answer: It is Mysterious Because The Things Haven’t Come Out Officially Yet.

Q on Sushant: How inspiring was Sushant’s life?

Harsh’s answer: His Life Is Inspiring In Many Ways It Inspires The Newcomer’s To Work More And More And To Get Recognised By People Not Only By Work But Also By Knowledge.

Q on Sushant: Your views on the #JusticeForSSR movement?

Harsh’s answer: It’s A Global Movement And I Somehow Believe That It Will Get A Logical Conclusion Soon.

Harsh’s final remarks about acting and the Indian Cinema Industry! 

Acting In This Industry Is Good Because Once You Get Work Even In One Big Project You Start Getting More And More In The Near Future And Also Allows You To Grow More. But On The Contrary It’s Actually Difficult To Make Your Own Name Not Just In This Industry But Anywhere Else Also. The profession is no longer as simple as it used to be, it’s now survival of the fittest

The fraternity has only grown bigger now. Competition is not only amongst actors, who have grown in numbers, but today there content creators, too, who are a part of it. And as an actor who has been around, to stay in the game, one needs to continue reinventing and learning. You need to work on your craft as well as physical appearance, and now social media, too,”

There is a new opportunity every day, but with it a reminder that one can’t just sit back and relax. Work has changed to an extent where once you may have been a big fish in a small pond, but today you could be a small fish in a big pond. And to survive, you must be creative, you must remember that you have to stand out and continue reinventing yourself. That’s exactly what I’ve been doing when I’m not shooting — I try to take my social media more seriously.”
