These discussions follow regular high-level engagements and come as India and Germany prepare for an upcoming EU-India summit and ongoing free trade agreement negotiations.

The visit comes as India-Germany ties celebrate over 25 years of strategic partnership, encompassing diverse areas such as education, science and research, defence cooperation and sustainability. The talks are also an opportunity for India and Germany to exchange views on global geopolitical developments and coordinate on shared challenges in a turbulent global landscape dominated by shifting economic powers.
